What does your job involve and who does it help?What does your job involve and who does it help?
As a Vorboss technician my job involves building the physical Vorboss network for our customers. I’m focused primarily on customer connections and getting our vast network connected through fibre splicing & cable installation. This involves splicing out of our datacenters to inside our customer termination equipment, ensuring the best uncontended, dedicated & reliable fibre network for our customers. I’m also part of Vorboss’ state of the art outage team that deals with trouble shooting with our network maintenance, safeguarding our customer interests, no matter the place or time of day.

To become an install technician you don’t need any qualifications. Just a proactive work ethic and an ambition to learn. This alone will get you far within Vorboss.

Our Vorboss academy provides in-house training for everything you need to be prepared for the install tech world. We provide training for fibre splicing, customer cable connection, PIA, confined space and many more!

What would you say to anyone looking to join the sector?What would you say to anyone looking to join the sector?
I would say don’t delay! Being a fibre technician opens doors for endless career and personal growth. The industry itself has many avenues and paths you can pursue.
