WAVEMOBILE IS TAKING A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO THE MOBILE NOT-SPOT PROBLEM

The technology now exists to provide combined 2G+4G coverage pockets via compact, easy-to- install equipment. The community supplies a site, connectivity and power, and we provide the spectrum, core network, national roaming, support and know how.

For the first time communities can take control of their mobile coverage needs. wavemobile is independent of vodafone, O2, EE and ‘3’. We do not rely on them other than for coverage outside of our small-cell network. We operate in low power spectrum with state-of- the-art equipment designed and built in the UK. Utilising existing connectivity infrastructure where possible and the best alternative where it’s not, we dare to be different with low cost, high reliability off-the-shelf backhaul.

National coverage is supplied via our MVNO, and community coverage by installing our compact EXSITE base station. We have two variants: an outdoor unit, professionally fitted at roof level and offering an optimal range of up to 3kms. This uses standalone business grade broadband or satellite. There is also an indoor model which can connect to existing broadband (perfect for locations such as pubs, cafes, etc.). This should be pitched alongside WiFi and is a more cost effective solution for smaller footprints.
