Vicky Messer

Vicky Messer is the VP of Product Management at Picocom, a Bristol-based semiconductor company specialising in designing Open RAN baseband Systems on Chips (SoCs), boards and software products for 5G small cell infrastructure.

Vicky has over 25 years of experience in the wireless industry and is an IET Chartered Engineer and Member of the IET. She began her career as an RF engineer, developing 2G base stations at Motorola before moving into RF optimisation at Alcatel Lucent and then to product marketing of 3G small cells at Picochip. After a period defining 4G products at NVIDIA, Vicky joined Picocom in 2019 to drive product specifications and collateral for Picocom's  5G small cell SoCs.

During Picocom, has Vicky is co-authored two SCF 5G Small Cell papers, and a FAPI specification. As an IET-accredited mentor, Vicky is also supporting a female engineer  towards achieving IET Chartership status. In May 23 Vicky is also joined the Bath University Electronic and Electrical Industrial Advisory board. Vicky was awarded Women In Wireless award for her contributions in SCWS May 23.
