Has worked in the civil, military, aviation, rail systems and telecommunications industry in UK and many overseas posts. Also has experience in marketing, sales and commercial aspects of running businesses and bidding and evaluation of tenders for large projects.  Has been responsible for project management of large projects in Africa and for the introduction and type approval of new GSM/GSM-R handsets within the U.K. rail industry, also wrote all of the requirement specifications for the Network Rail GSM-R Test equipment fitted to and currently in use on the NR test train fleet, into Network Rail’s radio infrastructure programs.

Further experience includes: LTE, TETRA, PMR, HF radio engineering and system design both telecoms and aviation related. Also, airfield systems, security systems etc. GSM systems and Mobile Money Operations (MMO) Network Rail GRIP project control, Yellow Book Engineering Safety Management, risk analysis, method statements, H&S, level crossing phones and safety, engineering verification, SPT, FTN, GSM-R, ERTMS, CCTV, GPS, PA, wireless networks and CIS.  Also has experience in GIS systems and mapping packages. Currently heavily involved in future communications systems (5G etc), and Digital Railways
