Colin McLaughlin

Colin has worked as part of the Business Partnerships and Engagement team at Lancaster University for over a decade. His role is predominantly focussed around the highly ranked School of Computing & Communications (SCC) where his remit covers all types of external engagement including collaborative research grants, Innovate UK funding, consultancy arrangements, KTP, in-curricula activity and student projects & placements. SCC houses one of only 17 NCSC Accredited Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research, where we are focused on three foundational elements – a multidisciplinary approach, Socio-Technical Systems Research & Real World Applicability. Through the ACE we undertake a range of disruptive, innovative research with considerable, internationally recognised, socio-economic impact. Currently Colin is involved in the DCMS funded 5G RIT project, http://www.5grit.co.uk, and is a member of the UK5G LEPS & SMEs working group.
