Norbert Sagnard

A global leader in Physical Layer Wireless Communications: CWI (Centre for Wireless Innovation), the UK’s largest research, development and exploitation base in physical layer wireless, and one of the strongest in Europe (#5 by ShanghaiRanking in 2019). Our 60-strong team of research academics, postdocs, PhD students and engineers develop innovative underpinning technologies for Wireless. Focusing on the RF through THz Systems and Signal Processing and Communication Theory, our researchers collaborate specifically on Future Cellular Systems (cell-free massive MIMO), Physical Layer Secure Wireless, Electromagnetic Sensing, Green Wireless, Space Applications and Connected & Autonomous Systems.

I manage the Business Development activities at the Centre for Wireless Innovation in Queen's University Belfast, liaising with companies and organisations interested in licensing or procuring our award-winning technologies and design for 5G and beyond (MU-Ma-MIMO), connected & autonomous systems (smart factories, smart agriculture, smart vehicles), physical layer security (PHY-SEC), wireless power transfer, space & satellite comms (EO sats) an EM sensing (mmWave tech for airport security screening).

Contact me if you would like to boost your R&D in antenna and beamformers design, reduce their power consumption and footprint, improve gain and slash loss in propagation (especially in mmWave).
