Tanveer Saad

Tanveer Saad is Head of Edge Cloud Innovation and Ecosystems at Nokia where he is responsible for driving and evangelizing Nokia’s approach to openness in the Edge Cloud portfolio. As part of the role, Tanveer is also responsible for Edge Cloud open ecosystems strategy definition and execution to enable innovation and technology leadership.

Tanveer joined Nokia in early 2021 from Open Networking Foundation, an operator-led global consortium promoting open networking solutions and standards.
Tanveer has a 22-year track record in the global telecommunications industry. He has a wide spectrum of global experience working for service providers, vendors, ISVs, startups,and other organizations. On the vendor side, he wore multiple hats during his career covering business development, product management, strategic alliances, solutions sales, program and service delivery management. On the service provider side, he has a solid experience in the areas of strategic network planning and design, network transformation program, category management, DevXOps and Cloud Transformation. Tanveer exhibited strong leadership taking up roles in cross-geo management in companies like ONF, Ericsson, Intel, and Telenor. He has successfully led early 5G, Open RAN, and Edge Cloud rapid prototyping programs that defined the path for commercialization and innovation. In his global career, he has worked in many countries including Bangladesh, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, South Africa, Kenya, and the United States. When not working, he is a binge-watcher of television shows, a cricket fan, and he loves to commit time to community engagements.
