The Company was formed on 1987 as a Design and Manufacturing Company specializing in Thick Film Hybrids and the engineering of micro-electronic devices. Originally based in Whitchurch, Hampshire some 15 miles from the Custom Interconnect Facility today which it acquired in late 2005.

CIL's Charlton Road Factory has matured and grown to be one of the leading UK Electronics Manufacturing Companies available and has enjoyed steady growth and continued its policy of investing in plant, equipment and the staff required to ensure that CIL's reputation for supplying high quality products at competitive commercial costs continued...  

As we established Charlton Road during 2006 CIL Won the Best Factory Award,  and in testimony to this we also won various Technology awards,  Customers Citations and the reputation for providing the ultimate in Customer Support, to this end our Customers started to express interests in CIL providing  high level product testing and complete Product Build or Box build. 

We of course listened, and in 2010 we opened our Box Build Facility here in Andover, making a total of 30,000 sq ft of Electronics Production across the 2 sites, making CIL's Facility one of the most complete, in terms of its offerings as a one stop solution, the most versatile in the end to end technology we can provide and the most flexible, by way of our ability to flex and react to our Customers demands in the market today.

In 2012 we joined the Connexion Technologies Group, and now with the combined offerings of the Connexion's Group are able to provide a much wider manufacturing support services, such as RF & Microwave Components, and systems, the associated design applications support as well as RF Test Equipment Design and Manufacture.
