Aside from the safety benefits, drone inspections are often cheaper and quicker than standard view-only inspections.

Drone photogrammetry can create a "Digital Twin" of mast assets, a far cry from the records that most asset owners have at their disposal. New equipment can be added to the 3D model easily.

In addition, drones can easily scan for line of sight surveys. They can also carry out signal strength measurements quickly and easily - this is particularly useful for the current wave of 5G asset installations.
