Oomami

Oomami is a marketplace for small producers and a social network for small farmers, producers, chefs and foodies. We provide automation servies for small producers on a SAAS basis and also handle warehousing and deliveries for most products listed on the platform. All products listed on the platform are required to be grown and/or made by small farmers and producers. We do not allow any distributors, wholesalers, or retailers.

We handle bulk business orders as well as consumer orders but Oomami is not a retailer, we do not sell any of the products on the platform. All the product listings and prices are created and set by the farmers and producers. When you buy your groceries on Oomami you are dealing with the farmers and people who actually make the products, it's like a farmers market, but online, and it's open 24/7.

We believe in supporting small farmers and producers and have created the oomami marketplace to make it easier for consumers, chefs and businesses (cafes, restaurants and stores) to connect with and buy from their favourite producers. And as part of our plan to enable small farmers and producers to reach a larger audience we also provide warehousing and fulfillment services as an option for all sellers.

By shopping on oomami consumers ensure that at least 65-95 cents in every dollar spent goes to the seller.

The Oomami marketplace was launched in November 2017 as the Megafresh Farmers Market (www.megafresh.co) delivering predominantly to Melbourne and Regional Victoria. In March 2019 the company changed its name to Oomami.me Pty Ltd and launched the new oomami social marketplace and expanded its delivery footprint into Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane.
