Up to 1,000 citizens across the West Midlands will benefit from improved social care provision, thanks to a groundbreaking collaboration between Coventry, Birmingham and Wolverhampton Local Authorities’ Adult Social Care Teams. 

BT Group has activated its first self-powering mobile site in the Shropshire Hills, with approximately 70% of the site’s energy requirements met by on-site solar panels and a wind turbine.

The Shropshire Hills site provides reliable 4G and 5G connectivity to EE customers living, working, and travelling in the area.

Virgin Media O2 has developed a 5G connected drone to help search and rescue teams establish reliable communication in the most remote areas, helping them to protect lives. The Warwickshire Search and Rescue team is the first team to trial the new technology.

In London on the 27th of April, the UK Telecoms Innovation Network officially launched to a packed room.
