A new innovation project is steaming ahead in Dorset to test if WiFi can work on even the most rural and oldest railway networks.

Cornish Wildanet attracts £35m investment from UKIB, days after the bank ploughed £150m into Hyperoptic.

Southwest fibre altnet Wildanet has become the latest UK challenger to attract investment from UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB), and has secured a revolving credit facility from Santander to boot.

In London on the 27th of April, the UK Telecoms Innovation Network officially launched to a packed room.

As part of the Open Networks Ecosystem (ONE) Competition DSIT is offering applicants the chance to attend two teach-ins which cover three key areas of the application process.
