Communications networks underpin many of our activities today, supporting our ability to stay connected at home, work, and on the move, and to support our increasing reliance on digital services.  To keep these services running, the sector needs technical specialists to design, build and maintain the networks which we all rely on. As technology is evolving ever more quickly, it is a fascinating field for anyone who is interested in tech.

The UK's leading telecoms and technology organisations have a Women in Tech pledge committing to promote the role of women in technology-based roles in the telecoms sector. Part of our commitment is to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce across the sector, starting with outreach and opportunity at all levels. To mark the second anniversary of the pledge, we are holding a free webinar designed specifically for career advisors of university, school and college students.

This webinar will provide an insight into the telecoms sector, the various technical career pathways and the opportunities available. It will feature speakers from organisations who play a key role in the industry, including Ofcom, BT, VirginMediaO2, Ogi, Vorboss, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP). We will also share information to help young people enter this dynamic and evolving field.
