techUK is working with NHS England to set up a virtual roundtable, taking place on the 16th of August, for suppliers to provide feedback to help policymakers understand how the Digital Health Technologies policy framework is impacting industry. A survey has been issued to understand what the landscape is currently like for getting a product to market in the NHS and it can be accessed here. We would strongly encourage you to complete it before joining this discussion. NHS England would like to review answers from the survey and provide a response to any questions you might have at the roundtable in August.
Please note that technologies in scope of this work fall into Tier C of the NICE Evidence Standards Framework (suppliers of products (apps / wearables) that are patient facing and have a diagnostic / treatment/ management function). Products that are of a lifestyle / wellbeing management nature wouldn't be in scope of the policy framework.
We will be joined on the day by:
- Rebecca Parkin, Senior Tech Policy Manager, NHS Transformation Directorate, Department of Health and Social Care
- Peter Williams, Deputy Director of Strategy, Tech Policy and Implementation, NHS Transformation Directorate, Department of Health and Social Care.
