What is Telecoms?

Telecom, or telecommunications as it is commonly known, is the exchange of information over significant distances by electronic means and includes all types of voice, data, and video transmission. Generally, this is a broad term that encompasses all kinds of information-transmitting technology and communication infrastructures, such as wired telephones; mobile devices; microwave communication; fiber optics; satellites; radio broadcasting, television, the internet, and telegraphs.
