The GSMA is teaming up with the Mobile Satellite Services Association (MSSA) to work on connecting terrestrial and space-based networks, which they say will create ‘a new era of ubiquitous global connectivity.’

Nokia has deployed 6 new apps to its Nokia MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) platform, designed to do things like improve worker safety, site security, operational efficiency and secure OT environments.

The new apps are aimed at the manufacturing, mining, ports, and chemical industries. The release cites a projection from Analysys Mason which says enterprises using private LTE and 5G are projected to spend $6 billion on industrial applications by 2030.

Rural broadband specialist Quickline Communications has teamed up with Tech She Can, a leading tech education and careers charity, to tackle the issue of gender disparity in technology roles across the UK. 

The collaboration aims to inspire young girls and women to pursue careers in technology, with a particular focus on schoolchildren in West and South Yorkshire.

Through this new partnership, Quickline will support Tech She Can’s efforts to increase the representation of women in technology by focusing on two key programme elements.
