Semiconductor UK Tour
The IfM Engage consortium has been commissioned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) to undertake a study into infrastructure to grow the UK semiconductor industry and a new strategic coordination function for the sector. Oxfordshire County Council
The Digital Infrastructure Programme and Innovation teams at Oxfordshire County Council will purchase and test 14 smart, multi-purpose lighting columns from the supplier Signify. These columns will be installed, as replacements to existing columns, in Oxford to provide mobile and wireless connectivity services. The project aligns with the Government’s UK Wireless Infrastructure Strategy, aiming to integrate advanced wireless infrastructure into the UK's economy and society by 2030.

Sunderland Open Network Ecosystem
The 'Sunderland Open Network EcosysTem' (SONET) Project is poised to transform the way we engage with live sports and esports. the project will showcase a highly efficient, state-of-the art High-Density Demand (HDD) Open RAN solution at the Stadium of Light and the new British Esports Arena, part of the National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland.

One Western O-RAN (Bath)
ONE WORD, the Open Networks Ecosystem Western Open RAN Deployment, will deploy a 5G Stand Alone RAN in four High Density Demand (HDD) scenarios; the City of Bath, around Cardiff’s Principality stadium, the historic Shelsley Walsh motorsport venue, and Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park.
Within the ONE WORD project, West of England Combined Authority and Farrpoint have harvested the lessons learned from deploying 5G networks across the 4 local authority partners we have worked with (Bath & North East Somerset, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Cardiff) and distilled it into a set of recommendations to help with future small cell deployments.
