Oxfordshire County Council
The Digital Infrastructure Programme and Innovation teams at Oxfordshire County Council will purchase and test 14 smart, multi-purpose lighting columns from the supplier Signify. These columns will be installed, as replacements to existing columns, in Oxford to provide mobile and wireless connectivity services. The project aligns with the Government’s UK Wireless Infrastructure Strategy, aiming to integrate advanced wireless infrastructure into the UK's economy and society by 2030.

One Western O-RAN (Bath)
ONE WORD, the Open Networks Ecosystem Western Open RAN Deployment, will deploy a 5G Stand Alone RAN in four High Density Demand (HDD) scenarios; the City of Bath, around Cardiff’s Principality stadium, the historic Shelsley Walsh motorsport venue, and Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park.
Within the ONE WORD project, West of England Combined Authority and Farrpoint have harvested the lessons learned from deploying 5G networks across the 4 local authority partners we have worked with (Bath & North East Somerset, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Cardiff) and distilled it into a set of recommendations to help with future small cell deployments.
