Over the course of May and June 2024, Innovate UK, in collaboration with UKRI India and the Indian Department of Telecommunications (DoT), delivered a Global Expert Mission, bringing together key government and R&D experts from the UK and India.

Research results are handled to standardization bodies like 3GPP which will deliver a standard ready before end of this decade. 6G will come to real world around 2030 complementing 5G with new groundbreaking features such as embedded AI and sensing capabilities.

Birmingham Tech Week is the UK’s largest regional tech festival and conference with over 7,500 people attending. Events will be taking place across the entire West Midlands covering a variety of important and innovative topics.

The UKTIN Academic Future Networks Strategy Working Group (which can be referred to as the Academic Strategic Working Group[1]) is one of the UKTIN groups which is tasked with developing a long-term strategy that will ensure world-leading academic research into future networks well into 2040.
