This is the official closure document for the NAVIGATE project which was funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Project NAVIGATE aimed to design, deploy, test and validate a JOTS (Joint Operators Technical Specifications) compliant blueprint for deploying open, sharable, public mobile networks capacity in High Density Deployment (HDD) environments at scale using Open RAN architecture. The project sought to validate that the chosen blueprint is technically and operationally viable, more cost-effective and energy efficient compared to legacy Single Operator RAN Macrocell approaches.
