The Telecoms Industry Diversification Coordination Group is responsible for connecting and aligning industry diversification planning and activities with government-led activity and strategic planning. It promises to enable the production of common interventions to diversify the telecoms 5G supply chain, working to identify and establish commonalities across the industry that can be linked to broad UK priority areas around a shared vision.
The group, which comprises established industry experts, will explore industry roadmaps, considering capabilities and the skills gap. It will also identify industry collaboration opportunities, as well as feed into potential policy interventions that will endeavour to unify industry stakeholder groups.
Group outputs are fed into the Telecoms R&D Future Capability Strategic Leadership Forum and the government-led Telecom Supply Chain Diversification Advisory Council.
