INCA has reacted to Ofcom's latest proposals on regulating the UK access market, the main thrust of its response being that Openreach must be kept in check.
Given that INCA – or the Independent Networks Cooperative Association, to give it its full title – is the mouthpiece of UK alternative network providers, its comments are to be expected. Indeed, it would be surprising had it not had a pop at Openreach.
But its statement is noteworthy as it represents a formal response to Ofcom's ongoing Telecoms Access Review (TAR), a process that will have significant implications for UK altnets.
Chief amongst INCA's concerns is rules around the rollout of networks in economically tricky locations.
