Nokia and du say they have implemented a 5G Advanced autonomous network slicing solution, promising “self-optimising 5G services for enterprises, industries, and consumers.”

What they have come up with enables du to deliver “premium, intent-based services” for things like business-critical operations and applications, live events, broadcasting, gaming, XR, and AI applications, we’re told.

The release explains autonomous network slicing provides self-optimising intelligence that measures slice performance and autonomously adjusts 5G RAN policies. The end result is supposed to be guaranteed premium service levels for enterprise, industry, and consumer applications, even in demanding scenarios – which presumably means things like congestion or remote connectivity.
