Virgin Media O2 (VMO2) will combine its B2B arm with Daisy Group in a deal that might not go down too well with some of the latter's customers.
Under the agreement, Daisy will be consolidated into VMO2 Business, with each party respectively controlling 30% and 70% of the combined entity.
Daisy serves around 175,000 business customers across the UK, managing 120,000 broadband connections, plus around 250,000 mobile and 150,000 fixed-line phone connections.
It has wholesale agreements with most of the major network providers, as well as partnerships with OEMs including Apple, Google and Samsung, enabling it to offer a broad choice of network and hardware for both SMEs and larger organisations.
