Virgin Media O2 is working with Zinkworks to deploy AI-driven automation designed to minimise downtime across its mobile network.
The operator is rolling out new AI monitoring tools to its mobile network to predict and prevent network issues, which is based on two years of experience doing something similar to its fixed broadband network. There, the technology reduced repair times by more than a third and cut the need for engineer visits by 12%.
To do so its drafted in Zinkworks, and the programme will be about monitoring network performance, identifying patterns and behaviours, detecting and resolving issues, and anticipating faults before they escalate into service issues.
