Nvidia and Deutsche Telekom will team up to build what they term as the world's first industrial AI cloud for European manufacturers on German soil.
The deal will involve building an AI Gigafactory and as is pitched as advancing Germany as an AI-infused industrial hub. The implementation of the industrial AI cloud is to take place by 2026 at the latest, apparently.
The AI factory will support industrial AI workloads for European manufacturers, built on 10,000 GPUs through Nvidia DGX B200 systems and RTX Pro Servers running Nvidia CUDA-X, RTX and Omniverse accelerated workloads from software vendors.
Deutsche Telekom will provide the infrastructure and be responsible for data centres, operations, sales, security and AI solutions. It also says that it ‘guarantees that European values such as data protection and data security are adhered to’ and that data will only be processed in line with European standards.
