ITRI Establishes a New Office in the UK

The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) has recently inaugurated its new office in the UK. This establishment marks a noteworthy moment in enhancing collaboration between Taiwan and the UK in the fields of technology and innovation. As ITRI's fifth international office, it joins the ranks of existing branches in the U.S., Japan, Germany, and Southeast Asia. The new UK branch will act as a crucial hub aimed at bolstering innovation connections between these two regions.

Significant Collaboration with the Catapult Network

In a celebratory event hosted at the UK Office Opening Ceremony and Taiwan-UK Innovation Forum, ITRI signed a Statement of Intent for strategic collaboration with the Catapult Network. This partnership is set to invigorate the relationship between ITRI and the UK's prominent innovation ecosystem, paving the way for enhanced technological advancement.

Honorable Guests and Key Remarks

Over a hundred representatives from various sectors, including business, government, and academia, gathered to commemorate the opening. Among the distinguished attendees was the Minister of Economic Affairs, who shared a video message expressing congratulations. He underscored the vast opportunities for collaboration that exist due to Taiwan's expertise in semiconductors and information communication technology (ICT), combined with the UK's robust research and development capabilities.

ITRI's Vision for Future Cooperation

Chairman of ITRI highlighted the longstanding partnership between Taiwan and the UK in technology development and research. He noted that as both regions possess unique strengths, the ITRI UK Office will enhance knowledge exchange and talent development.
