Ericsson has announced the launch of two high-performance antennas designed for mission-critical applications such as public safety and disaster relief.

The Antenna 1005 and Antenna 1006 were shown off at the at the Critical Communications World (CCW) event in Brussels, Belgium, and are designed with the requirements of emergency services and first responders in mind.

Both models are tuned for public safety spectrum bands B68 and B28, with 2T2R low-band support, high electrical efficiency, and ‘best-in-class’ low-band coverage, we’re told. These features are supposed to make the antennas ideal for deployment in suburban and rural areas, “where coverage and signal penetration and reach are crucial for maintaining reliable communication across diverse and expansive terrains.”
